Nurse Recognition Day

Some 200 nurses and their families filled Shanker Hall for the Federation of Nurses/UFT’s annual Nurse Recognition Day dinner on May 8 to honor members for their ÌÇÐÄVlogAppactivism and patient advocacy. 

School Secretaries Awards Soiree

Thirty-two school secretaries from across the city were honored at the union’s 38th annual School Secretaries awards celebration on June 6.

Provider Appreciation Awards Ceremony

About 400 members of the UFT Family Child Care Providers Chapter and their guests filled Shanker Hall at ÌÇÐÄVlogAppheadquarters on May 9 for the 12th annual Provider Appreciation Awards Ceremony to honor more than 50 providers for the extraordinary work they do at their home-based child care centers in support of children and their families throughout New York City.

Middle School Awards Night

Twenty-five middle school educators were honored at the UFT’s inaugural Middle School Awards Night on May 15. Some 200 members and guests attended as members' roles in students' lives at at key stage of development were highlighted and celebrated.

Academic High School Awards

About 250 UFT members from the city's academic high schools gathered on April 25 at ÌÇÐÄVlogAppheadquarters to honor outstanding educators and schools and to celebrate 10 years since the UFT's first Academic High Schools awards.

Paraprofessionals Awards Luncheon

Nearly 1,100 paraprofessionals and other members gathered at the New York Hilton Midtown on March 22 to celebrate the outstanding work of their colleagues, attend professional learning sessions and have fun at a carnival. City Council Education Committee Chair Rita Joseph, a key supporter of the RESPECT check legislation, was the keynote speaker.
